Mari Tomunen is a corporate associate in Sullivan & Worcester's New York office.


Ms. Tomunen represents public and private companies with respect to incorporation, mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings, employment and general corporate matters.


Being part of Sullivan & Worcester's Blockchain & Cryptocurrency practice group, she has advised clients through dozens of successful Initial Coin Offerings and other token-generating events ranging from USD 10 million to USD 200 million.


Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Tomunen served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Denny Chin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, NY. She has also worked as an international corporate tax lawyer at KPMG Oy Ab, Finland, and as a research assistant to SEC Commissioner Prof. Robert J. Jackson, Jr. when he was a Professor at Columbia Law School, NY.


Ms. Tomunen graduated from Fordham University School of Law with magna cum laude, and served as a staff member in Fordham Journal of Corporate and Financial Law.
