Barbara Shachnow is a partner in the Real Estate Department of our New York office. Ms. Shachnow represents investment banks, commercial banks, private equity funds, insurance companies and other institutional lenders, as well as institutional real estate investors and developers, in the acquisition, disposition, financing of and investment in commercial real estate in all asset classes. She also advises on the workout and restructuring of troubled real estate loans and investments.
Ms. Shahnow's experience also includes the representation of real estate private equity funds on mezzanine loan originations, loan participations and co-lender arrangements involving office, retail, multifamily and hotel assets, which require the negotiation of complex intercreditor, co-lender and participation agreements.
