REIT Conversions
A number of public C corporations have recently converted, or announced their intent to convert, to the real estate investment trust (REIT) structure. ZAG/S&W is a national leader in converting public C corporations to REITs, measured by the number of transactions and by the equity market value of transactions. Our conversions involve a thorough review of various structuring strategies as well as tax and securities advice related to the possible implementation of these strategies. For companies with significant assets and operations outside of the United States, our REIT conversion process also incorporates and rationalizes the company’s worldwide operations and assets.
