Sander Ash is a partner in the Real Estate Department of our Boston office. His practice encompasses all transactional real estate matters with an emphasis on financing, acquisitions, joint ventures, real estate fund formation, inbound foreign real estate investment, development, REITs, securitizations, capital market transactions and leasing.
Representative Client Work
- Represented a publicly held REIT in a $450 million sale/manage-back transaction of 13 hotels in six states, one Canadian province and Puerto Rico
- Represented a tower company in connection with its acquisition of over 1,900 towers in 47 states in a single transaction
- Represented a construction lender in connection with a $144,750,000 construction loan for a mixed-use (hotel and condominium) development in White Plains, New York
- Represented a housing developer in connection with the acquisition and development of a 28-acre "for sale" component of a mixed-use, multi-developer project in Hingham, Massachusetts
- Represented a publicly traded REIT in connection with its $455 million acquisition of a publicly traded limited partnership, which owned 5.2 million square feet of office and industrial buildings
- Represented the owners of the Nickelodeon Family Suites Hotel in Orlando, Florida in connection with a recapitalization in which a private fund acquired a 50% interest in the hotel and its management company
- Represented a gaming company in a $1.2 billion high-yield mortgage offering
- Represented a regional shopping center developer in connection with the issuance of $450 million of mortgage-backed pass-through certificates as part of its initial public offering
- Represented Woodward & Lothrop Incorporated in connection with its $970 million sale in bankruptcy of substantially all of its assets to the May Department Stores Company and J.C. Penney Company, Inc.
