Shmuel Zysman
Mr. Shmuel Zysman is one of the founders of the international law firm Zysman, Aharoni, Gayer & Co. He is also a partner and an owner of the U.S. law firm ZAG/S&W.
As one of Israel’s foremost commercial lawyers, Mr. Zysman’s is an expert in the fields of hi-tech, commercial and capital markets law, international transactions, communications, and real estate.
Mr. Zysman specializes in the legal and corporate accompaniment of technology companies in all stages: from pre-seed stages through their growth, IPO`s, mergers or acquisition. Mr. Zysman has a vast network of connections, representing leading private and institutional investors on the domestic and international levels.
Mr. Zysman has been active as legal counsel and a member of various public committees: served as legal counsel and member of two parliamentary committees, dedicated to privatization and the transition to a sophisticated and free market: The Peled Committee, whose goal was to examine the media and communications market and create an "open skies" principle, and the Ronen Committee that examined the reforms in government-owned properties. This committee’s recommendations were extremely influential on the Israeli market. Finally, Mr. Zysman was a member of the professional committee investigating the train crash tragedy at the Bet Yehoshua junction.
Mr. Zysman is one of Israel’s hall of fame basketball players. A former captain of the national youth team and Israel’s cadets, he was a prominent player in the Israeli Premier league for 17 years, and played on the Israeli National Team. As a player for Maccabi Tel Aviv, he won the Euroleague Cup in 1981, when Maccabi won all possible titles, including the International Cup. Mr. Zysman is the founder and former head of the Israeli National Basketball Players’ Union, and was responsible for initiation and planning of the amendment to the Israeli Sports Law. Mr. Zysman currently, serves as the manager of the Israeli Competitive Sports Administration.
